If you've tried reinstalling the program, but it still gives you the same errors as before, you may need to run this handy dandy uninstaller from Microsoft. That is of course after you rename your "normal.dot" file to make sure it's not just a corrupt file. Either try that or run "winword.exe /a" which tells it to skip over this little config file for testing.
