HP PSC 2110 on Terminal Server 2000

Client PC is Windows 98 connecting to Windows Server 2000 Terminal Services. Client has HP PSC 2110 attached locally via USB. All signs point to loading bulky HP driver CD on server to be able to attach terminal server session to printer.

Online chat with HP support is great ! She recommended loading the software on the server, which I was avoiding. When I asked for a compatible driver, she immediately said HP 550c would work for this printer.

She also gave me the link to an alternate print driver chart (near the bottom) commonly used for JetDirect configurations

Follow up issue:

Microsoft Works
x - The printer driver is missing or not valid
fixed it by loading HP 550C driver locally and selecting same USB port as HP 2110
