Events 1030 and 1058 on Windows 2003 Server
Microsoft's
Article ID : 830676
recommends doing this:
dfsutil.exe /PurgeMupCache
ps - this worked for the new server I just recently set up yesterday, but not on the one with the bad RAID stripe .. the bad disk is causing many different issues .. we're preparing to destroy the array and reload from scratch .. at least it's been up a good 2 weeks !

Don't use the Microsoft RAID driver on Windows Server 2003 !!
IBM has confirmed an issue between their RAID hardware and the Microsoft driver included on Windows Server 2003.
Use the latest driver downloaded directly from the
IBM support website .
A "Bad Stripe" controller error is very bad to see on a freshly loaded server. IBM recommends deleting the array and setting up everything from scratch!

APC UPS monitoring package
Windows 98 workstation with Beagle/Bagle virus infestation. Remove virus, but still has these strange ports seemingly looped to itself:
6667
6668
1030
1031
Turns out, it's APC's PowerChute software application and the system tray icon somehow communicating with each other. Safe to leave alone.

HP PSC 2110 on Terminal Server 2000
Client PC is Windows 98 connecting to Windows Server 2000 Terminal Services. Client has HP PSC 2110 attached locally via USB. All signs point to loading bulky HP driver CD on server to be able to attach terminal server session to printer.
Online chat with HP support is great ! She recommended loading the software on the server, which I was avoiding. When I asked for a compatible driver, she immediately said HP 550c would work for this printer.
She also gave me the link to an
alternate print driver chart (near the bottom) commonly used for JetDirect configurations
Follow up issue:
Microsoft Works
x - The printer driver is missing or not valid
fixed it by loading HP 550C driver locally and selecting same USB port as HP 2110
